I bet most of us don’t have a lot of space to work with when it comes to interior design – unless you have a completely new house or a huge (and expensive) apartment, you have to find a compromise, as you probably own a homespace that doesn’t give you much leeway. Fortunately, there are a lot of solutions to this problem, as furniture and equipment companies know very well that customers nowadays need as much usability in a small package as possible. So, let’s see what you can do if you don’t have much space but you need more storage.
- First of all – use your stairs creatively. Don’t just put a wall under them. A small library or a bunch of cupboards located under the stairs are not only a couple of inches more storage, but (when done right) it improves the look of your home.
- Multipurpose spaces are also in fashion right now – instead of putting one cupboard on the floor, use wall not only for pictures, but also for additional storage. Bright and fun colours won’t burden your space and you’ll have much more room to put things in.
- Mirrors – optical illusion is your friend. If you feel cramped in your little bedroom, put a big mirror on the wall and you’ll instantly feel better.
